From January the College Thrift Shop will be open.
Items suitable for sale are as follows:
Any article of current school uniform which is
CLEAN and in VERY good condition
Nearly new sport shoes
Sports equipment (tennis and squash rackets, hockey and sticks etc.)
All garments must be securely wrapped with the form completed and attached, otherwise they will be regarded as a donation.
60% of the price of each garment goes to the seller appearing as a credit on the school account (unless arrangements for payment by cheque to the other parent are made); 40% to Shiplake College Thrift Shop. This is used to buy equipment for the school. A list of recent purchases is in the shop.
Garments are accepted on the following conditions:
Pricing of clothes and sports equipment is decided by the committee, who reserve the right to reject clothing deemed unsuitable for sale, either because it does not conform to school uniform regulations or because it is flawed in some way.
Any garments remaining unsold after 2 years will be given to a charity.
Any cheques that are returned from the address given to the Committee, marked 'gone away', will be credited to the fund.
